The kits include a shirt, face towel, underwears, pairs of socks, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bath soaps and laundry soaps, pack of biscuits, a bottle of liniment, and a pack of wipes.

“Ito po ay pagkilala sa kabayanihan ng ating kasundaluhan at kapulisan,”Higino Dungo, Jr., Operation Sagip’s Program Director said. “Sa pamamagitan po ng donasyon ng ating mga nagmamahal na kababayan ay naibahagi po namin sa inyo ang mga ito,” he added. (This is to recognize the bravery of our soldiers and policemen who are currently in Marawi, defending our country. Through the donations of the people, we were able to give these hygiene kits.)

Last July 3, ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation’s emergency humanitarian program initially turned over 700 packs of hygiene kits to CSR-AFP.

According to CSR-AFP’s Deputy Commander and Chief of AFP’s Public Affairs Office Col. Edgard Arevalo from Philippine Navy Marines, the hygiene kits are more than material things. “Ito po ay pagkilala at pagmamalasakit sa ating mga kawal. Isa po itong napakalaking inspirasyon para sa amin.”(This is recognition to the bravery of our soldiers and it also shows how compassionate we are. This is an inspiration for all of us in AFP.)

The Marawi crisis started May 23 and President Rodrigo Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao at 10:00 that night.

As of July 18, Operation Sagip already reached 20,610 families or 103,005 individuals affected by the conflict in Marawi with food packs during its relief operations.
