Let’s Take to the Soil
It’s been a rainy Saturday, but for Christine Jane Go of Cebu Pacific, joining a tree planting activity for the first time is fun and fulfilling.
“These are the things that we are not able to do on a daily basis, so going out here and partnering with ABS-CBN-Bantay Kalikasan is really something big for me,” she shared.

Four (4) hectares were filled with 1,600 seedlings in La Mesa Watershed after Cebu Pacific employees engaged with Bantay Kalikasan in protecting the environment through the tree planting activity.
“Gusto kong balikan para makita ko kung tutubo ba talaga siya. I was like talking to the plants na maging malakas kayo at lumaki ng super strong,” (I want to go back and see if it will grow. I was like talking to the plants, telling them to be tough and grow strong.) she added.
Malapapaya seedlings were planted in the four-hectare area of the watershed. It is one of the endemic tree species in the Philippines.
