To commemorate the 50 "Goldilicious" years of making a difference through CSR efforts, Goldilocks Bakeshop Inc., re-launched its partnership with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. to continue reaching the unprivileged communities and provide livelihood opportunities.

L-R: Richard Yee (Board of Director, Goldilock's Foundation, Inc.), Freddie Go (CEO, Goldilock's Foundation, Inc.), and Susan Bautista-Afan (Managing Director, ALKFI) during the MOA Signing

As part of the celebration, they held a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), attended by the private and public sectors who share vision and work towards a common goal.

In line with the vision of giving back through doing community programs, a social entrepreneurship program called “Kabuhayan Bakery” will be launched in five eco-tourism sites of Bantay Kalikasan. This project aims to teach the members of the communities to learn basic baking skills on how to market their goods and how to sustain a small business. At the end of the training, Goldilocks will grant the community a “Kabuhayan Bakery” that will be the source of their income.

“We’d like to create livelihood opportunities for those who feel that they have no other option to earn an income for their families.”said Goldilocks Marketing Director, Cherry Caluya.

The pilot bakery project will start on July in Lobo, Batangas which is one of the community sites of Bantay Kalikasan.

As one of the leading cake shops in the Philippines, Goldilocks aspires to uphold the legacy and extend their charity through partnering with different organization in making sustainable projects for the community.

“Supporting through thick and thin is something that we all should do and we enjoin our fellow countrymen and entrepreneurs to join in, everyone has to take part in nation building.” Cherry Caluya added.

Last March, Goldilocks also signed an agreement to support ALKFI's Bantay Baterya and Bantay Langis' projects where in the bakeshop's used oils and batteries will be donated to the said projects.
