Bantay Bata 163 turns 22!

Since its founding in 1997, Bantay Bata 163 has remained a stalwart force at that fought for children's rights. Evolving from a hotline for reporting child abuse, the organization has since grown in reach and scope, tackling the deeply rooted issues of poverty, inequality and violence through holistic support services aimed to transform citizens to take actions and be socially responsible.
As it celebrates its 22 years of serving the Filipino children nationwide, Bantay Bata 163 held its thanksgiving party at the Children’s Village – halfway shelter for rescued kids where healing and transformation takes place.

“We are overwhelmed with love from all those who have supported us since our founding on Valentine’s Day in 1997,” shared by Jing Castaneda-Velasco, Bantay Bata 163 Program Director. “It is this same love that we hope to impart to more children as we strive to improve our services to adapt to an ever-changing landscape of abuse and exploitation.”
