Bantay Bata 163 and ABS-CBN RNG Cebu Collaboratively Working for A Laudable Cause

Bantay Bata 163 believes that education is an absolute right of every child and is vital for every child’s development. Bantay Bata 163 and ABS-CBN RNG Cebu work together to support Umapad Elementary School located in Mandaue City during the turn-over of 7 units Tablets (Gadget) from the proceeds of DYAB Kapamilya Run last June 2015. Contributing to the quality of education, the said device will be used as a tool for their references, research and other school program and activities. The said event was graced by ABS-CBN Visayas Cluster Head - Ms. Veneranda “Tata” Sy.
Aside from the gadgets, Bantay Bata team and MOR disck jockeys also prepared various games and loot bags for the kids. Monde Nissin One One Rice Snack and hot porridge made of vegetables and rice were also distributed to 1,210 students. The school is situated near Marcelo Fernan Bridge or the 2nd Mandaue-Mactan Bridge and this just a few meters away from the dumpsite of Mandaue City where most of the students are scavengers of the dumpsite.
The school principal Mrs. Nancy Lucenas, the children and faculty members had expressed their heartfelt gratitude with sweet smiles and happy faces.
Likewise, the shooting of ABS-CBN “Thank You for Your Love” Christmas station ID added fun during the event.
