One hundred thirty-eight students from Kinder to grade 6 of Asian Development Bank Spouses Association (ADBSA) Aeta Elementary School, together with eight teachers and 14 community leaders, received grocery packs and school supplies from BantayKalikasan.

ADBSA ES also received three stand fans to help ease the condition of the students especially those who are in the two makeshift classrooms.
The donation was made possible from the generosity of the high school graduates of St. Theresa’s College Manila Batch ’69.

According to Ronald Albagadela Cruz, Grade 3 teacher of ADBSA Aeta ES, the students usually lack school supplies. “As early as June, school supplies are already scarce and they only rely to those who will donate.”
He also added that the groceries are also a big help for the staple food of the students is rice.
“During the months of July to September, there is inadequate food for kids. So you, coming here is truly a blessing,” he shared.
Likewise, Melanie Salazar Capili, ADBSA Aeta ES’ head teacher, is grateful for the donors. “We are truly grateful for St. Theresa’s College of Manila Batch ’69 for donating grocery packs, school supplies, and three units of electric fan for our indigenous students. Thank you for helping the kids with their education.”
